What is Measured?
Cortisol: You can think of Cortisol as nature’s alarm system. Made in our adrenal glands, Cortisol regulates the release of glucose, which is our body’s main energy source. Cortisol also acts as our primary stress hormone.
Free Testosterone: Testosterone is produced in the testes in Men and ovaries in Women. Free Testosterone is the measurement of biologically active testosterone which is not bound to proteins in your bloodstream.
Thyroid-Stimulating Hormone (TSH): Thyroid Stimulating Hormone is the pituitary hormone that is responsible for stimulating the thyroid gland. TSH levels are measured during blood tests to help determine if one has an under or active thyroid, which affect weight and energy.
